So, as if we didn't have enough music for one day, starting at 8:30am at Threadgill's, followed by the festival, we went downtown for a club show with Poi Dog Pondering at the Speakeasy. It started at 11:45pm and ended at 1:45am. The stage was too small for the band. Therefore, the sax player along with the trumpet/keyboard player were on the dance floor. In fact, they stood right next to me. I had to be careful when I was bopping around, not to hit them, their instrument or music stand! It was so much fun! To see that band in a small club was a real treat!
