The Austin Weekly Town Dance has come to an end. With the release of Bruce's new record, The New World, on September 2nd, he closed out his summer concert series at Scholz on the 3rd. He played a nice selection from the new record & also many of his older standards. His wife, Kelly Willis, and their 4 kids also turned up for the last night. At one point they were all on stage & Kelly harmonized on Travelin' Soldier.
All of us regulars at this weekly series talked about how much we enjoyed & how much we will miss this event. We're hopeful Bruce will do this again next summer. I believe he & the band had as much fun as we all did.
